Zen and the Art of Website Maintenance

I’m sitting at my desk in Anne’s Bohemian, my Downtown Repalone Music Player is spinning DJ Skippy’s last.fm radio station, Twitters are flooding in, Dwight is enjoying sunny Florida while taking in Gay Days and promises to bring back the best in new club music, the rest of us have cooked dinners involving donuts or chicken, and some of us are heading out for weekend festivities here in Southern California. Damn if I’m not content.

Our web designer continues his greggroll. In a flurry of cretive genius, he’s added a number of great features to the Downtown Repalone website. Details about Karen, her mother and her grandmother are now coming together. The Downtown Repalone Historical Invention Society is in full swing and you’ll be amazed at the history we’re beginning to uncover. In addition to the DTR Music Player feature, we have also designed a page delivering YouTube videos of DJ Skippy’s play list favorites. There’s so much happening with the website, I can’t cover it all. Suffice it to say you won’t be disappointed with the scope of content and entertainment. Explore at will. I am!

This brings me to a closely held saying here at Repco, Inc., which, after consultation with our executive staff, I’m thrilled to have permission to now share with you. It’s a simple little phrase really: “Gregg Made Me Do It”™. Downtown Repalone insiders are often heard repeating this phrase, sometimes under their breath. It has turned into something of a mantra, and was in fact, one of the major topics Karen covered in her Zen Buddhist Ph.D. dissertation. In the next day or two, I’ll share with you just a few of the examples where we have had cause to utter “Gregg Made Me Do It.”
